Qualifications

My journey in medicine began at the young age of 9, in the 4th grade, when I declared that I wanted to be a pediatrician. That childhood dream led me to pursue my passion for helping others, and I took my first steps towards that goal by working for a family practice physician in high school. It was there that I discovered a deep passion for caring for people and knew that I was destined for a career that helped improve the wellness of others.

During my undergraduate years at the prestigious UCLA, I immersed myself in the study of both science and the humanities. My time at UCLA was transformative, shaping my belief in the importance of holistic care. I’ve always felt that an understanding in both the body and the mind is crucial in caring for people. While earning my degree in sociology, I simultaneously worked as an optician, gaining invaluable experience in the optical field. As an optician, I trained my aesthetic eye to see how different frames complemented different face shapes, laying the groundwork for my future in aesthetic medicine. 

Following my undergraduate studies, I continued my education at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, where I further honed my medical skills and expanded my knowledge. Medical school was a rigorous yet rewarding experience that solidified my commitment to compassionate care and instilled in me a deep sense of responsibility to my future patients. Bonus: med school is also where I landed my wonderful husband John! 

I continued on at Loyola University Chicago to complete a residency in pediatrics. I spent several years dedicated to caring for children before discovering my passion for aesthetic medicine. This blend of medical expertise and aesthetic vision has shaped my approach to patient care, allowing me to provide patient-centered treatments that address both the physical and emotional aspects of beauty. 

I am proud to combine my medical expertise with my passion for aesthetics to deliver exceptional care to each and every one of my patients. My journey has been defined by a commitment to excellence, compassion, and continuous learning, and I am honored to share my expertise with you at Vigilante Aesthetics.
